Aloha Kakou
My name is Shemaur Ali'i Noble Kealoha Osby and I am a Black and Hawaiian writer/photographer who is the founder + creator of Starlight Literature, an online literary magazine based in Oahu Hawai'i. I have always had the prowess to tell stories -- even as a child I would write songs, raps, poems, letters news reports, and short stories. As a young adult I was first published in the Leahi Journal for Creative Arts at 19. With that and the encouragement from my teachers, professors, family, friends, and peers, I knew I had to pursue writing and story telling to its fullest extent as an independent literary media source. I frequent open mics to tell my stories under the cover of many moons, and all of my words have been received well. With interests in cool journalism, heavy and unique poems, and thrillers of a short story, Starlight Literature was born.
